Android 12 — a cautionary tale of formatters

When the final Android 12 beta came out on the 8th September, I didn’t think much about it. When previously running the app I’m working on in earlier betas, I haven’t found too many problems.
Except this time, we were in September.
September is the start of Autumn, but why, as an Android developer, should we care? All because of the Unicode CLDR Project.
